Post Death/Funeral

Every single person who has ever lived and every single person who will, has and will experience loss – both that of their loved ones, and then, their own. Grief is universal, it is part of the deal of life. There is no escaping it. There is no ignoring it. There is only assurance that it will come for you, too. It’s form, it’s duration and it’s impact will be personal and one way to look at it is as a visitor who reminds you of what you have loved and lost.

Some parts of life were temporarily put on hold whilst we dealt with the death and most likely the illness. Now as you step into the new norm, tasks which you’d never done before have to be taken on and dealing with someones affairs may feel like a mountain to climb. But like every journey it begins with a 1st step and our aim is to shows you the steps, make them easy to understand and help you take them at a pace that works for you.

There are many other organisations that deal with support in bereavement. Some of these we will provide links to, but our role is not to replicate these, instead to help with many of the things that you don’t know have to be done. There may be a funeral and medical bills to be paid, and this at a time when income may have changed dramatically and little or no short term financial support. So one of our roles will be to help you adjust to the new financial situation.
